Dwayne Johnson and McG Plan The Fall Guy Film

I know this is a terrible main picture, but hey, anything better was copyrighted.  And it was the 80’s.

The big screen adaptation of the 1980’s television series, “The Fall Guy” is finally moving forward. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dwayne Johnson (you know, THE ROCK) and director McG are taking on the project.

When the film was first announced in 2011, Martin Campbell was working on the project with Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz providing the screenplay. However, they dropped out and the film remained in limbo until now. There is no word though on whether or not their original script was kept.

The original series initially ran for five seasons beginning in 1981. The series starred Lee Majors as Colt Seavers, a Hollywood stuntman who also worked as a bounty hunter. Created by Glen A. Larson, the show also starred Douglas Barr and Heather Thomas.

The Fall Guy will be produced by Ashok Amritraj, Laurie MacDonald and Walter Parkes.
