People’s Choice award-winner Ashley Rickards has announced that she is penning her first novel. Rickards is the star of the MTV series, “Awkward” where she plays Jenna Hamilton, a teenager in Palos Verdes, California, who struggles with her identity, especially after an accident is misconstrued as a suicide attempt.
Rickards’ novel will be called “Get Your Sh!t Together” and is set to be released by Harlequin in spring 2015. The book will mix tips for teens with Rickards’ personal stories, meant to “help young women worldwide wade through any and all awkward phases and come out better on the other side.”
