We recently reported that season five of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire” would feature a seven-year time jump but we had few other details about the upcoming season. Now, we have a teaser trailer featuring a pretty cryptic message, “All Empires Fall. No One Goes Quietly.” It is set to a cover Harry Nilsson’s “One” (by Alva Noto & Blixa Bargeld).
Season Five, which will be the final season (insert sad face), will take place in 1931. This puts the characters we love to hate right in the middle of The Great Depression and as the teaser suggests: poised to fall.
