Machinima Prime has released “Fallout: Red Star,” a film from Wayside Creations based on the hit action web series “Fallout: Nuka Break.” The film is based on the popular video game franchise, Fallout. Vincent Talenti has returned to direct the project alongside lead actor, Cameron Diskin and executive producer Steven Dengler of Dracogen.

Set in the “Fallout” video game universe, Red Star diverges from the humor-filled tone of Fallout: Nuka Break-Season One and instead follows the darker essence of the iconic character, “The Ranger.”  Red Star begins with “The Ranger” searching for his old tracking partner whom he finds out was slaughtered by Raiders.  His partner’s widow enlists “The Ranger” to track and rescue her kidnapped daughter who was sold into slavery.  As he reluctantly accepts this quest, the audience quickly becomes aware that this tale is not only one of survival and action but one in which “The Ranger” finds a renewed sense of purpose.

Red Star offers a unique taste for fans,” said Talenti.  “This was our opportunity to explore the darker side of the Fallout universe.”

Produced by Anthony Clementi, Red Star features stars from both film and television.  Actress Toni Wynne, of Oz The Great and Powerful, successfully transforms the kidnapped daughter into a warrior her tracking father would be proud of; and The Mindy Project’s Catherine Carlen, embodies a mother’s desperation to find her child.  Also starring alongside them are Ed O’Ross of Dick Tracey and Full Metal Jacket, as well as, Vic Mignogna from Fullmetal Alchemist and Star Trek Continues.
