Watch the First Trailer for Red Dead Redemption 2

It feels like fans have been waiting ages for this announcement and when the announcement trailer hit, it showed us almost nothing. Rockstar Games confirmed earlier this week that fans would get “Red Dead Redemption 2” with the above announcement trailer but the teaser shows us very little about what to expect for the game.

The only piece of dialogue we hear—”Listen to me, when the time comes, you have to run and don’t look back. This is over” We don’t know who these ominous words come from but it is speculated that it could be at least said to John Marston as he leaves the gang of outlaws he ran with in his early days pre-Redemption.

Unfortunately we have pretty much forever to wait. Red Dead Redemption 2 releases in fall of 2017 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. (There’s no Nintendo Switch version… yet.)

Rockstar will continue to slowly release information about the game over the next year so this teaser is just the beginning.

Final Fantasy XV Has Been Delayed to Avoid “Substantial” Day-One Patch

Much to the disappointment of everyone who preordered “Final Fantasy XV,” (this family included), Square Enix has officially confirmed that they have delayed the release until the end of November.

“Final Fantasy XV” was supposed to release in early September but developers have decided to push the release until November 29.

In a video released on the official Final Fantasy XV YouTube channel, the game’s director, Hajime Tabata, assured gamers that the “master version” of the game was ready, but that the team wanted to make the “highest quality version” of the game available to everyone, including those who didn’t have their consoles connected to the internet.

According to the video, the main reason to delay release was to prevent players from having to download a huge patch immediately as it releases. Tabata said he’s opting to delay the game entirely and include the patch with the base game at release.

If there is one thing that gamers hate, its a huge day one patch. They are frustrating and often feel avoidable. So in the end, hopefully this delay is for the better.

You can watch Tabata’s whole announcement below.

The first trailer for the highly anticipated next “Zelda” game as finally released and it looks beautiful. Nintendo released the trailer at this year’s E3 conference. You can watch the first trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild above!

According to series Producer Eiji Aonuma, this new installment is going to be boundary breaking for the franchise. He has said that the new game will be a clean break from the conventions of previous games, removing boundaries that forced players to follow a set path and introducing new gameplay that has not been experienced in previous games in the series.

The Legend of Zelda for Wii U will launch in 2017 for the console, and the game will also debut as a title for Nintendo’s next console, currently codenamed Nintendo NX.

Kit Harrington to be Main Villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare

Sexy walking deadman, Kit Harington, is moving from the fantasy world to the one of our past. Activision has officially announced that the “Game of Thrones” star will be featured in the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, scheduled for release November 4th.

Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director, Infinity Ward, the developer behind the upcoming game, said,

“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro. Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”

Activision and Infinity Ward also worked closely with film director Guy Ritchie, who is familiar with the Call of Duty franchise, having helmed the acclaimed live-action trailer “Surprise” for “Call of Duty: Black Ops II.”

“Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise, so it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington’s character to life in Infinite Warfare,” added Dave Stohl, studio head, Infinity Ward. “It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public. We’re committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast.”

Tim Ellis, chief marketing office, Activision, added,

“Gathering this level of talent together for this role speaks to our studio partner’s drive to deliver a powerful narrative in Call of Duty. We challenge ourselves to constantly be fresh and expansive in creating gripping, immersive experiences that are exciting to play for our fans every year.”

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, scheduled for release November 4th.

PS4 Neo Confirmed by Sony

Even though the Sony E3 press conference didn’t start until today, the company confirmed the plans for their long-rumored PS4 Neo a few days ago! The press release said,

“It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4,” Sony Interactive Entertainment president and global CEO Andrew House told the Financial Times. “We will be selling both [versions] through the life cycle.”

The PS4 Neo will feature ultra-high definition 4K resolution and richer graphics, and as a result will be more expensive than the regular PlayStation 4 system, which is currently priced at $350.

“The consumer is attuned to a different cadence of innovation in technology thanks in great part for the upgrades cadence on mobile phones or PCs. We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety.”

No pricing or release window was given and they won’t be revealing the new version of the console at E3 citing a desire to showcase “the best experiences on the new system” in their entirety.
