The weird and creepy upcoming game “Among the Sleep” is crawling its way to the Xbox One. The horror game puts the player in the role of a two-year-old child. The game was initially was announced only for the PlayStation 4 just before its launch on PC in 2014. But thankfully (I think) it will become an Xbox One game as well.
“Among the Sleep puts you in the mindset of a two-year-old child. After being put to bed one evening, mysterious things start to happen. Being played in a first-person perspective, this game lets players immerse themselves in a child’s limitless imagination. In the borderland between dream and reality, surreal creatures and diverse environments will present you with both physical and mental obstacles that challenge your creativity.”
In honor of the new release, Krillbite Studio also opened up sales for Among the Sleep’s OST to everyone. Originally, it was only available to Kickstarter backers.
IGN called “Among the Sleep” a “poignant horror adventure” that focuses more on the “nature of trauma” than simple scare tactics. They also said much of the game’s anxiety and thrills comes from the protagonist’s extreme vulnerability.
There is no word yet on when the game will hit Xbox One but the announcement is expected to be soon.
