Season 4 of Arrested Development Being Re-Edited

When season 4 of “Arrested Development” aired on Netflix, there were a few incredibly dedicated fans who took the time to reedit the season themselves in chronological order. However, most of those edits were taken off the internet almost immediately. Now, series creator, Mitch Hurwitz, is re-editing the nonlinear season himself.

So, while we wait for season five, we can we watch the tale of Cinco de Cuatro from start to finish. During an interview with Pretentious Film Majors, Hurwitz said,

“Right now, I’m cutting a version of Season 4 that tells it chronologically.”

Each episode of season 4 was focused on one characters point of view during the same few months of events. There is no word how the new chronological system would be presented.

Hurwitz also confirmed that an Arrested Development movie is still in the plans but with no immediate information on when we can expect it. He said,

“Season 4 was always meant to be act one of the three-act structure where everything goes sour.”
