The Indiana Jones Sequel Will Happen

Hopefully this won’t be another “Crystal Skull” situation but according to Lucasfilm president, there will be another Indiana Jones movie!

Kathleen Kennedy revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair that the franchise would be adding a new installment however, she did not reveal a timeframe.

Here’s the excerpt from the article where Kennedy addresses the upcoming Indiana Jones film:

In buying the company, Disney also got rights, for better or worse, to less-storied Lucasfilm properties, among them Willow and Radioland Murders. A bigger prize is the Indiana Jones franchise. Kennedy confirmed rumors that another Indy movie “will one day be made inside this company. When it will happen, I’m not quite sure. We haven’t started working on a script yet, but we are talking about it.”

Basically, we don’t have a plot, a script, or a star. However, the rumor mill says the studio is considering Chris Pratt, for which I am completely in favor.

More information is expected to be released over the next several months and into the next year.

Chris Pratt Sought for Indiana Jones Reboot?

Yes, YES, yes PLEASE. There is a new Indiana Jones remake in the works and it seems that Chris Pratt may be in line to be the star and replace Harrison Ford as the titular sexy explorer.

The Guardians of the Galaxy star would take over the role for a fifth film in the franchise. The last film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was release in 2008 still starred Ford who has expressed interest in reprising the role in a new film despite being 73 years old.

Pratt is definitely keeping busy right now though. In addition to Guardians he has starred in The LEGO Movie last year, Jurassic World later this year, and is set to star opposite Denzel Washington in Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming remake of The Magnificent Seven.
