‘Anchorman’ Ron Burgundy to Release Tell-All Memoir

ANCHORMAN

If you gazed into my past circa summer of 2005, you would have seen my watching the movie Anchorman at least once a day with my best friend. I feel like I already know Ron and his crew like distant relatives that when we get together we have a hilarious time over cocktails and pool parties. However, Random House has decided to let me (and other fans, of course) peek even further into the life of the fictional character by releasing a tell-all memoir called “Let Me Off at the Top!: My Classy Life and Other Musings.”

Be prepared as the luscious Action 4 News Lead Anchorman opens up with never before told stories from childhood and early years in the television journalism business. The memoir will also include several lessons on a variety of topics as well as insight into the mind of Ron Burgundy and his pursuits of women, friendships, and his career.

In a press release, Ron stated,

“I don’t know if it’s the greatest autobiography ever written. I’m too close to the work.” He also added, “I will tell you this much: the first time I sat down and read this thing…I cried like a goddamn baby, and you can take that to the bank!”

“Let Me Off at the Top!” hits physical and digital shelves Nov. 19. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues premieres Dec. 20.

The character of Ron Burgundy is played by Will Ferrell, first appearing in the 2004 film, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Now, almost ten years later, the sequel is finally hitting theaters. Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, this December, which features Ferrell reprising his role along side Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, David Koechner, and more.
