Electronic Arts (EA) has announced that the next installment in The Sims franchise, aptly named “The Sims 4” will be released worldwide on PC in the fall of next year. According to developer, EA Maxis’ The Sims Studio, “The Sims 4” ups the series’ surrealist life-simulation ante with more lifelike Sims and a new creation-focused player toolkit.
An Origin-exclusive Digital Deluxe version is up for pre-order at “The Sims 4’s” official website, offering players bonus “Life of the Party” and “Up All Night” content packs when the game premieres next year.
Rachel Franklin, VP and General Manager of The Sims Studio, said,
“The Sims franchise has the best fans in the world and their passion and enthusiasm is at an all-time high. Those millions of voices will fuel our development process, helping The Sims 4 to be the most ambitious and the best game our studio has ever made. We can’t wait to see our fans reaction when The Sims 4 comes out in autumn 2014.”
