Welcome to Yesterday has been postponed by Paramount Pictures just weeks before it was scheduled to open in theaters. The low-budget found footage project was directed by Michael Bay.

Welcome to Yesterday is a time travel feature previously known as Almanac, centers on teens who build a time machine.

The film was supposed to open on February 28th, now the studio is now mulling a new release date during the summer or fall. According to the report, Paramount is planning to refine the marketing for the movie which tested very strongly with focus groups. Word is that the studio is hoping the film could open much larger than previously anticipated.

Paramount will partner with fellow Viacom banner MTV Films on the film, using the MTV connection to reach the teen and the college demographic, the pic’s core audience and give it a better push. Having a promotional partner in MTV Films will also save costs.
