Modest Mouse hasn’t released a new album in a painful seven years but the band has officially confirmed the next one is on the way in 2015!
Earlier this week the band posted on Instagram a photo of a 7-inch single titled “Lampshades on Fire,” hinting that something fantastic was on the way. Then, Revolt reported that a representative for Epic Records confirmed a new Modest Mouse album will be released during the first quarter of 2015.
It was later even further confirmed when DJ Robin Roth in San Diego posted a photo holding a promotional copy of “Lampshades on Fire. He promises to debut the song on Monday, Dec. 15th.
More details are expected to be released soon with the new album dropping sometime in 2015. Their last album, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank, was critically acclaimed and beloved by fans.
