FOX Announces Two Renewals

Scream-Queens

FOX has officially announced that two of its biggest shows will definitely be returning for new seasons. “Empire” will return for a third season while “Scream Queens” hits back for a second season.

“Empire” follows a mogul family in the music industry centered on the character Lucious Lyon played by Terrence Howard. The series was one of the most-watched show on broadcast television last year and still holds that title midway through its second season, which is currently on midseason break and resumes on March 30. The series also has the critically acclaimed performance of Taraji P. Henson who won winning the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series – Drama for her portrayal of Cookie Lyon. “Empire” itself took home a Golden Globe nomination for Best TV Series – Drama.

“Scream Queens” was an interesting hit and continued to attract a large audience throughout its first season. However, with all but a few of the girls (and guys) dead by the end of the season, where will it go for a second season. And how? Reportedly, the answer appears to be a hospital, “where some of the most fascinating and bizarre medical cases are under observation,” according to the FOX presser.

There are no official return dates for the next seasons but good to know these two popular shows are at least safe going forward.
