Emily Kinney, the actress most known for playing Beth Greene on AMC’s “The Walking Dead” has officially joined the cast of Showtime’s “Masters of Sex.” According to reports from Variety, Kinney will join the show during it’s forthcoming third season.
Kinney will play the role of Nora, a self-assured and intelligent young woman who volunteers in one of the sex studies as a sex surrogate. Nora is also the next door neighbor to main character Dr. William Masters.
“Masters of Sex” stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as Dr. William Masters and Virginia Johnson, respectively, a pair of pioneering researchers at the forefront of the sexual revolution of the ‘60s. It is based on the true tale of how the two scientists studied sex during that formative decade and the years afterward.
Along with being incredibly popular on “The Walking Dead,” Kinney has also appeared on “The Following,” The Flash,” The Good Wife,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” She also has a recurring role in the forthcoming second season of Cinemax’s The Knick.

Showtime officially released a new trailer for the upcoming second of “Masters of Sex.” The second season will be returning to Showtime July 13.
The series is based on Thomas Maier’s biography, “Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, the Couple Who Taught America How to Love.” It stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as the lead characters, Dr. Masters and Virginia Johnson, two pioneering researchers of human sexuality at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Sarah Silverman has officially announced that she will join the cast of “Masters of Sex” on Showtime. Silverman will join in season 2 in a recurring role known as Helen.
“Masters of Sex” stars Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan as real-life pioneers of human sexuality, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.
The series chronicles the unusual lives of Sheen and Caplan, as well as romance and pop culture trajectory. Their research touched off the sexual revolution and took them from a mid-western teaching hospital in St. Louis to the cover of Time magazine. The series is an adaptation of Thomas Maier’s book “Masters of Sex: The Life and Times of William Masters and Virginia Johnson, The Couple Who Taught America How To Love.”
“Masters of Sex” season one received both Golden Globe and WGA nominations. It was also honored as one AFI’s Top Ten Television Programs of the Year.
Along with Silverman, season 2 will also see the addition of Caitlin Fitzgerald, Teddy Sears, and Annaleigh Ashford.
Production one season 2 is currently underway. It will premiere on Sunday, July 13.
