It was announced earlier this week that The Travel Channel would be releasing a television special for this years Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. The special, entitled, “Sports Illustrated: The Making of Swimsuit ’13 – 7 Continents, 17 Wonders,” will follow will cover this year’s groundbreaking Swimsuit Edition as they bring in models and teams to all seven continents in order to capture some of the most groundbreaking imagery of the globe. This includes the first fashion shoot to take place on the ice-covered terrain in Antarctica. From battling sandstorms in the African dunes to traversing treacherous cliffs in Asia, we’ll show what goes into capturing these singular moments on film.
The one hour event will be a Travel Channel original special and will be premiering Sunday, February 17 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT
