Square Enix has officially announced that Deus Ex: The Fall will be hitting iOS devices Thursday, July 11th. The game is the winner of seven “Best Mobile/iOS Game” awards at E3 2013 and continues to be a hit with gamers and fans of the original game. Deus Ex: The Fall is a full story driven action-RPG and the first Deus Ex in the series to be developed for and released on mobile and tablet devices.
The game will be set in 2027, similar to Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and will feature a new player character: Ben Saxon, an augmented former British SAS mercenary. The story will be a follow-up from the Deus Ex novel “Icarus Effect” by James Swallow.
Deus Ex: The Fall was developed by the mobile division within Square Enix in Europe. It was created in collaboration with the Original Deus Ex: Human Revolution team at Eidos-Montréal and N-Fusion.
Deus Ex: The Fall will be available for $6.99/£4.99/5.99€ from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. The mobile game will be compatible with iPad 2 and above, iPhone 4S and above, and iPod Touch 5 and above. An Android version of the game has been confirmed for a release later this year.
