Sony, you brilliant bastards, beating out Microsoft at every turn when it comes to the next-gen console release wars. This week at Gamescom, Sony Computer Entertainment Inc has officially announced the release date for the PlayStation 4 as November 15, 2013 in Canada and the U.S., and from November 29, 2013 in Europe including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. (We still do not have a release date for the Xbox One.)
The PS4 will also launch in the following 10 Latin American countries on November 29: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Panama and Peru.
Sony also announced that the PS4 will support Twitch, the live internet streaming service that is dedicated to the gaming community. The service will allow PS4 players to broadcast their gameplay to their Twitch channel in real-time to gaming fans across the world, by simply hitting DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller’s “SHARE button.”

- FIFA 14
- Killzone™: Shadow Fall
- #DRIVECLUB
- Knack
- Assassins Creed® Black Flag™
- Watch_Dogs™
- Just Dance 2014
- LEGO® Marvel™ Superheroes
Along with the confirmed launch titles, Sony revealed that there are more than 180 PS4 titles currently in development.
