MGM has announced their plans to bring the spooky and all together kooky Addams Family back to the big screen but this time in an animated feature. According to a report from Variety, MGM is in final negotiations to obtain the rights to the characters.
The Addams Family was created in 1938 by Charles Addams and are a mainstay in pop culture. The family appeared in a New Yorker comic-strip for 50 years and inspired a hugely popular TV show, two movies, and most recently a Broadway musical.
MGM has pulled Pamela Pettler on board to write the script. Pettler is most known for her work on Monster House and Corpse Bride. Currently, there is no word on a director or any other talent attached to the project.
Also, Addams Family Values is pure gold. End of story.
