The upcoming action-comedy film, Mortdecai, has added professional grumpy gus (but amazing in every way) Aubrey Plaza, Oliver Platt, and Jeff Goldblum to the cast. They join Johnny Depp, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ewan McGregor, Olivia Munn and Paul Bettany.
Mortdecai is directed by David Koepp based on a screenplay written by Eric Aronson. The film is an adaptation of the novel, “The Great Mortdecai Moustache Mystery” written by Kyril Bonfiglioli.
The film is the first project under Lionsgate and OddLot’s co-financing and distribution deal, follows art dealer and part-time rogue Charlie Mortdecai (Depp) as he travels the globe armed only with his good looks and special charm in a race to recover a stolen painting rumored to contain the code to a lost bank account filled with Nazi gold.
Mortdecai recently concluded production in London and has begun shooting in Los Angeles. Andrew Lazar, Depp, Christi Dembrowski and OddLot’s GigiPritzker are producing the project.
