One of my celebrity crushes, Aubrey Plaza, has joined the cast of the upcoming film, The Driftless Area. She joins already confirmed cast members Anton Yelchin, Zooey Deschanel, John Hawkes, and Frank Langella.
The movie centers on the young love between a bartender and a mysterious woman. Their relationship is threatened after the bartender, Pierre, gets mixed up with a dangerous crook and his bag of stolen cash.
The film is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Tom Drury. Zachary Sluser, who co-wrote the screenplay with Drury, is directing.
Plaza is most known for her role as April Ludgate in “Parks and Recreation” as well as films Safety Not Guaranteed and The To-Do List. She can next be seen in the upcoming A Many Splintered Thing opposite Chris Evans and Michelle Monaghan and Lionsgate’s Mortdecai.
