Star Wars: Episode VII has officially added some sexy female actresses for the upcoming feature. The “Star Wars” site announced that Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o and Gwendoline Christie have officially joined the cast.
Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy said,
“I could not be more excited about Lupita and Gwendoline joining the cast of Episode VII. It’s thrilling to see this extraordinarily talented ensemble taking shape.”
Christie is most known for being one of the best characters on HBO’s “Game of Throne,” Brienne of Tarth. Nyong’o was featured in the film 12 Years a Slave.
Both actresses have received wide critical acclaim for their performances.
They join a cast of actors that already includes John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson and Max von Sydow. They will join the original stars of the saga: Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill, Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew.
J.J. Abrams is currently directing the film. It is set to open worldwide on Dec. 18, 2015.
