Season two of HBO’s “True Detective” is going to be doubly awesome as they add two more lead actors. Creator Nic Pizzolatto recently revealed that the second season is going to have four leads this time around.

Pizzolatto told The Daily Beast that there will be four central roles and I can only imagine what kind of doors that opens. Maybe a female lead detective? Though right now we have no news about who has been cast in any of those roles.

The only plot details we do know is that the season will be set in California and that the second season will have multiple directors.

Season one of “True Detective” rightfully earned 12 Emmy nominations, including Outstanding Series, Outstanding Writing (Pizzolatto), Outstanding Directing (Cary Fukunaga), and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson).

More plot details are expected to be announced later this month.
