The Conjuring 2 is being rewritten yet again. The sequel seems to be on uneven footing since it was greenly last year to follow the original horror flick. Now, screenwriter David Leslie Johnson has been hired to rework the screenplay before it goes into production.
According to The Wrap, “Johnson will rewrite an earlier draft Wan penned with Chad and Carey Hayes, with revisions by Eric Heisserer.”
The Conjuring 2 is still on track to be directed by James Wan. The sequel will see the return of Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson in the main roles as Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The film goes into production this summer and premieres on June 10, 2016.
