Netflix has officially ordered 13 episodes of a new original comedy series titled “Lady Dynamite” starring comedienne Maria Bamford. This is going to be wonderful.

Reportedly, the series will be based on Bamford’s real life which is often surreal and unbelievable at best (and worst really.) But she is amazing. “Lady Dynamite” is described as “the often surreal story of a woman who loses her sh*t, and eventually finds it.”

Bamford is most known for her stand-up as well as her appearances on Louie and Arrested Development. She is also a popular voice actor, appearing as a bunch of secondary characters in Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time.

There is no word yet on when the upcoming series will premiere on Netflix but it is surely going to be a hit if it is anything like her stand up specials. She’s an executive producer on the single camera comedy series, along with Pam Brady and Mitch Hurwitz.
