Musician Andrew Bird has announced an extensive tour starting this month! The 6 month tour begins in his home state of Illinois and continues through the U.S., Canada, and Europe.

The tour is more than just spreading his music. Bird will be donating a dollar of every ticket sold to help to stop gun violence. Also, one of the Chicago shows will donate all of the money earned to benefit Foundations of Music in Chicago to fund a ChiArts student’s private lessons.
