Reese Witherspoon is going to live Happily Ever After. Walt Disney Pictures is currently developing a fairy tale comedy according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film comes from Nahnatchka Khan, the creator of “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23.” In addition to starring, Witherspoon is also on board to produce with her Pacific Standard partner Bruna Papandrea. John Jacobs of Smart Entertainment is producing as well.
“Happily Ever After” will take place 10 years after the prince and princess “have ridden off into the sunset for their “happily ever after.” The couple discovers that even in fairy-tale land, you have to work to keep your relationship and your life together.
Disney’s Kristin Burr and Erin Westerman will oversee the project. Smart Entertainment’s Zac Unterman will executive produce.
There is no word on when the film will begin production or who will star opposite of Witherspoon in the role of the prince.
