Boardwalk-Empire

The final season of “Boardwalk Empire” is right around the corner with a premiere date of September 7 and the first trailer has been released. It is INTENSE. Unfortunately not only is it the final season but it will also only be eight episodes long. Damn you, HBO.

Season 5 will feature a 7 year time jump from the previous seasons bringing our characters from the roaring 20’s into the middle of the Great Depression in 1931 but still in the middle of Prohibition. Will Nucky make it through to see the end of Prohibition? Or will he be unable to leave the game before cashing out? Let’s hope season 5 brings some closure.

“Boardwalk Empire” was created executive produced by Terence Winter. Martin Scorsese, Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Tim Van Patten and Howard Korder also serve as executive producers on the HBO drama.  The co-executive producers are Eugene Kelly and Eric Overmyer.

You can watch the new trailer below and watch the premiere of the final season on September 7.
