Actress Zhang Ziyi

Ridiculously beautiful and incredibly talented lady that you know you are secretly in love with, Ziyi Zhang, has been approached to reprise her role in a Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon sequel, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The sequel, entitled, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon II – The Green Destiny, has long been in development as a sequel to Ang Lee’s Oscar-winning 2000 film. Production will finally begin in March of 2014 and word is that Zhang will hopefully return as Jen Yu in flashbacks that will explain what happened to her character.

The sequel was written by John Fusco, is based on the fifth book in Wang Du Lu’s Crane-Iron Pentalogy series that spawned the original film. The project would bring Zhang and Ping back together who recently worked together on the action choreography for Wong Kar Wai’s martial arts action film The Grandmaster, which is released in North America this Friday, August 23.

Zhang has not yet been confirmed to return but it seems likely.
