Charlie “Concerned Eyes” Francis, also known as Kirk Acevedo, has joined the cast of the upcoming Syfy series, “12 Monkeys.” Acevedo is most known for his role as Concerned Eyes Agent Francis on the science fiction series, “Fringe.”
Acevedo is currently a recurring character on AMC’s “The Walking Dead.” In “12 Monkeys” he will play Ramse, Cole’s closest friend in the apocalyptic future. He’s clever and fiercely loyal and helped Cole survive the destruction of civilization. While Cole travels through time, Ramse proves critical to the survival of the team that makes it possible. So pretty much the exact same side character he has played in every show he has ever been on. Poor Concerned Eyes, always a bridesmaid, never a bride.
He joins a cast that also includes Amanda Schull and Noah Bean and guest star Zeljko Ivanek.
Based on Terry Gilliam’s feature film of the same name that starred Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt, the drama centers on a time traveler from the postapocalyptic future who appears in the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will eventually decimate the human race.
There is no word yet on when the series will premiere.
