I know this is not typically the type of geekery we post here, and by “we” I mean me, but this is just too cool to not post about. A Paris apartment was discovery completely untouched for 70 years. And it is utterly gorgeous.
During WWII, Madame de Florian, a Parisian socialite, abandoned her fancy luxury apartment and fled the city. While she never actually returned to Paris, she continued to pay rent until her relatively recent death in 2010 at the age of 91.
When the apartment, which is located on Paris’ Right Bank near Opéra Garnier, was finally opened after 70 years, it revealed an insanely beautiful time capsule from the life once lived there.
