The Bourne Franchise could be getting its iconic face back. According to a report from Deadline, Universal Pictures is in negotiations to bring Matt Damon back for the fifth installment. The negotiations also would bring The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum director Paul Greengrass back into the mix.

The fifth entry in the franchise is reportedly scheduled to release July 16, 2016. It is replacing an originally planned big screen sequel to The Bourne Legacy with Jeremy Renner in the lead. The film is to remain in development for now.

The details of Damon’s return are still in process at the moment and nothing is completely confirmed. More details will be revealed over the next few weeks.
