At this year’s New York Comic Con, Marvel confirmed that the “Fantastic Four” comic book series would be coming to an end. The popular and long running series will finally conclude in June of 2015.
Marvel Editor in Chief, Axel Alonso, and the “Fantastic Four” writer James Robinson announced the news during Sunday’s panel at the convention. Robinson said that the characters will be “going away for a little while” and that he is “building up to the end of the Fantastic Four.”
Entertainment Weekly reported that the final story arc of the series will appear in issue #645. The triple-sized issue will be titled “The End is Forever.” They have not revealed what the storyline will actually be but it is expected to release more information as the end nears.
