It was revealed during an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald that there will be a new album from the Gorillaz in 2016! The news was announced by Blur frontman Damon Albarn who said he was currently working on “reactivating Gorillaz for a 2016 release.”
There was no more details given about what the name of the album will be or when in 2016 we can expect the new release. Hopefully we get more information in early 2015 (and maybe a single in late 2015?)
The group’s previous album was released way back in 2011 titled The Fall. The entire album was recorded using iPads while still on tour.
