Galaxy Quest is heading to television land. The (classic!) 1999 science fiction tale is reportedly in the works to become a television series at Paramount Television.
The film starred Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell and Enrico Colantoni. It followed the cast of a defunct sci-fi television series called Galaxy Quest, in which the crew of a spaceship embarked on intergalactic adventures. The cast of the show are accidentally sent to a spaceship and must save an alien nation who believe their televised adventures are real space tales.
Robert Gordon, the film’s scribe, is expected to write the television adaptation while executive producing alongside the film’s director Dean Parisot, producer Mark Johnson and Johnson’s producing partner Melissa Bernstein.
Never give up, never surrender!
