It is not surprising that several actors have shown interest in Star Wars: Episode VII. I mean who wouldn’t want to be in the project, honestly? But this week Chloe Grace Moretz, Simon Pegg, and Nick Frost, all spoke out about their interest in the film.

Moretz is no stranger to action films as she most know for her role as Hit Girl in Kick-Ass. During an interview with MTV, Moretz said that she would love to be the film.

“I mean, obviously there’s interest. It’s ‘Star Wars.’ I’d kill to be a part of that franchise, but I don’t know. J.J., I’ll give you my phone number. You can text me.”

Comedian and actor, Pegg, had another opinion about joining the franchise. During an interview with The Age he said,

I don’t want to be in Star Wars, I think it would spoil it. When I saw Star Wars when I was a kid, I saw a bunch of people I’d never seen before with some lofty, very respectable older actors in senior roles. I would hope J.J. doesn’t stunt-cast the film. It would be great to get some new peeps in it, it would be amazing.”

Frost agreed with his friend and added,

I’d like to sit back as a punter and see what’s going to come from J.J.’s mind.’

Star Wars: Episode VII will begin production some time next year. The film is being written by Michael Arndt and will be directed by J.J. Abrams. It is currently targeting a 2015 release date. More casting news will likely be released over the next few months.
