Games with Gold: “Might & Magic Clash of Heroes” and “Halo 3” Free in October

This October, the set of free games for includes “Might & Magic Clash of Heroes” and “Halo 3.” Starting Tuesday (October 1st) “Might & Magic Clash of Heroes” (Normally US $14.99) will be free for Xbox LIVE Gold members through October 15th. Beginning on October 16th, “Halo 3” will be free for Xbox Live Gold Members (Normally US $14.99).

As a reminder, the “Games With Gold” program gives Xbox LIVE Gold Members 2 free games to keep each month. A new title will be available the 1st and 16th of each month.

“Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes is a puzzle role-playing adventure video game in the Might and Magic franchise, developed for the Nintendo DS by Capybara Games and published by Ubisoft Entertainment. It was first announced in May 2009, and released on December 1, 2009. A downloadable high-definition version was developed for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. The game is the third title set in the series’ Ubisoft continuity, and acts as a prequel to Heroes of Might and Magic V, taking place in the fictional world of Ashan prior to the events of the game.

“Halo 3” is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie for the Xbox 360 console. The third installment in the Halo franchise, the game concludes the story arc begun in Halo: Combat Evolved and continued in Halo 2Halo 3‘s story centers on the interstellar war between twenty-sixth century humanity and a collection of alien races known as the Covenant. The player assumes the role of the Master Chief, a cybernetically enhanced supersoldier, as he battles the Covenant. The game features vehicles, weapons, and gameplay not present in previous titles of the series, as well as the addition of saved gameplay films, file sharing, and the Forge map editor—a utility which allows the player to perform modifications to multiplayer levels.
