HBO GO is finally coming to the PlayStation systems. Sony PlayStation and HBO jointly announced that they have partnered in a plan to bring the network’s streaming service to the PS3 and eventually to the PS4.
HBO GO is the channel’s streaming app that (unfortunately) requires an HBO subscription via your cable or satellite provider. Though with it you can watch unlimited, on-demand access to shows like “Game of Thrones,” “Boardwalk Empire” and the just-premiered “True Detective.” HBO GO offers every episode of every season of the network’s popular shows as well as hit movies, sports, documentaries, and comedy specials and behind-the-scenes extras.
Currently, there is no projected timeline on when the service will be available.
Now, if only they would provide the service as a pay for subscription, I would give them so much money.

I’m glad it’s coming to PS3, I’m not sure why it’s taken this long. It would be nice if they had a separate subscription service but I can’t see that happening anytime soon.

It is weird that they will roll it our first for the PS3 and not the PS4. I would think the PS4 would get it first since that is their newest release? Where is the logic behind that? As for a subscription service like Netflix, I agree that they should start one up. They are missing out on a great money making avenue.
