Netflix announced today a price increase. The company is increasing prices for new subscribers to their streaming service. Netflix will go from $7.99 to $8.99 per month.
The new rate only applies to the streaming side and only for new customers – for now. Current members will be safe from the increase for at least 2 years.
According to Netflix customer service,
“In order to continue adding more movies and TV shows, we are increasing our price from $7.99 to $8.99 for new members. As a thank you for being a member of Netflix already, we guarantee that your streaming plan and price will not change for two years.”
This price increase won’t keep me from being a member because in the long run it is still cheaper than Comcast or ATT.
