With the recent release of HBO’s standalone streaming service, Showtime has realized how valuable the offering can be to subscribers. The network has officially announced their own standalone streaming service that will debut this summer.
When it first releases, it will be accessible exclusively through Apple products—iPad, iPod Touch, iPhone, and Apple TV—via the service’s app. The service will include Showtime originals, live broadcasts, and licensed content. It will be priced at $10.99 per month.
SHOWTIME, the service’s title, launches this July, and will include a free one-month trial for initial subscribers. You can watch the launch trailer below:
