I know, I know. Season one of the FX series, “American Horror Story” was GOLD while season 2 can be described as merely “good” at best. (Don’t get me wrong, the acting was incredible.) But things are looking up for the show as season 3, titled, “American Horror Story: Coven” looks like it is going to be awesome. Not to mention we will see the return of several actors as well as the addition of some pretty well-known new ones. If you not convinced in the potential awesomeness coming up, a brief 18 second teaser trailer for the third season was released this week which you can see below.
“American Horror Story: Coven” will center on a coven of witches that relocated from Salem, Massachusetts to New Orleans, Louisiana before The Salem Witch Trials. The themes include witches, witch hunts, and witchcraft vs voodoo. Kathy Bates will portray infamous serial killer Delphine LaLaurie who, at the start, is Fiona’s (Jessica Lange) best friend, but later becomes her worst enemy.” Frances Conroy is set to play Ruth, Fiona’s “rival from high school times.” This season will be set in modern-day and the 1830s.
Season 3 will begin airing on October 9th. It features Jessica Lange, Frances Conroy, Denis O’Hare, Taissa Farmiga, Jamie Brewer, Lily Rabe, Angela Bassett, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates.
The first episode of the new season was directed by Alfonso Gomez-Rejon and is titled “Bitchcraft.”

I loved the first season of American horror story. I thought the second season was good as well. I cant wait for the third season.
