Doctor Who Adds New Villain for Upcoming Season

Ben Miller

The upcoming new season of “Doctor Who” has added yet another villain for our iconic Time Lord to face. According to showrunner Steven Moffat, actor, comedian and physics expert Ben Miller will make an appearance opposite current doctor, Peter Capaldi and companion Jenna Coleman.

Miller, a self-confessed “Whovian,” said he couldn’t believe his luck in landing the role.

“My only worry is that they’ll make me leave the set when I’m not filming,” Miller said.

Moffat also added,

“Mark Gatiss has written us a storming villain for his new episode, and with Capaldi in the TARDIS, we knew we needed somebody special to send everybody behind the sofa. And quite frankly, it’s about time Ben Miller was in Doctor Who.”

Miller has studied for studied for a Ph.D. in physics at Cambridge University. He has also fronted BBC2 science strand Horizon. He previously appeared on the television series, “Primeval,” and more recently as a detective in the first two series of the BBC’s Death in Paradise.

He joins the ever-expanding cast list that this year includes Tom Riley and Keeley Hawes.

The official premiere date of the new season has not been announced but will release on BBC One later this year.
