Beginning this June in Europe and North America, PS4 owners will be able to get 2 games a month if you are a PlayStation Plus member.
Unfortunately, there is another change to be on the lookout for.
According to a post in the PS Blog, starting in July, games will be available for slightly less time, from the first Wednesday of the month right up until the first Wednesday of the following month. Sony justifies this by explaining most gamers are downloading the titles right away, but in effect this means you may not have access to as many titles on PS3 as you once did.
“Since we are always looking to continue the evolution of PS Plus as a service that really serves our community, we are excited to provide a more balanced set of games each month within the Instant Game Collection,” it reads. “As you’ll see below, starting in June, members will now have access to two titles per month for each of our platforms. “Since we’ve seen how excited many of you are to download Instant Game Collection titles as soon as they’re available, we’ve decided to adjust the length of time each title will be available. Starting in July, every title in the Instant Game Collection will be available the first Wednesday of the month, and will be free for that month, until the first Wednesday of the following month.”
Regardless, moving forward…
The two titles coming to PS4 in Europe this June are “Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate” and “Trine 2: The Complete Story.” The first is a quirky twin-stick shooter that blends blasting with puzzle-solving, while the second is a beautiful puzzler set in a fairy tale world.
PS3 owners will get”NBA 2K14″ alongside the psychological survival horror “Lone Survivor.”
In North America, gamers will also get “Pixeljunk Shooter Ultimate” and “Trine 2: Complete Story” on PS4, along with “NBA 2K14” on PS3, but the rest of the offerings are a little bit different.
PS3 owners in North America can will also get “Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time,” while US Vita owners have “Terraria” and “Mutant Mudds Deluxe.”
