Ever since the creator and writer of the “Uncharted” game series left Naughty Dog, fans were left wondering what was to happen to the franchise? (Especially considering “Uncharted 4” had already been announced for PlayStation 4.)

However, don’t fret your tiny little faces off, it appears that “The Last of Us” directors are poised to take over. Game Informer has reported that Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley are taking the lead role for the upcoming game.

Naughty Dog Co-President Evan Wells stated that,

“It’s not so much of a transition period, actually. We’ve asked them to lead the project.”

The duo is not new to the “Uncharted” franchise thankfully. Both worked on “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.”

The upcoming fourth installment in the series hasn’t gotten an official name yet but is likely to be revealed at this year’s E3 press conference.
