“Minecraft” is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 starting May 16! Mojang announced that boxed copies of the popular game will go on sale for the PS3 after what feels like years of waiting by fans.
Owen Hill, of Mojang, revealed the retail disc information for Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition on the PlayStation Blog.
“It comes with all the features you’d expect from the console versions of Minecraft, along with everything that came with update 14, including emeralds, Ender Chests, potatoes, and more,” Hill said.
“Minecraft” went on sale on the PlayStation Store late last year and according to Hill, more than 1.5 million copies have been sold. At Gamescom last year, Sony claimed that the game would be a launch title for the PS4, and the Vita version was later confirmed by creator Markus “Notch” Persson.
Square Enix has officially announced the release date for Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster. The release will hit the PlayStation 3 on March 18, 2014 in North America and March 21, 2014 in Europe. At the moment, no release date for the Vita has been confirmed.
Two of the most acclaimed “Final Fantasy” adventures of all time are back on one disc. Return to the world of Spira, the sport of Blitzball and fall in love with a cast of fan favorite characters including Tidus and Yuna, looking better than you’ve ever seen them before. The creators’ original vision is stunningly realised with today’s technology to deliver the definitive versions of these classic RPGs.
Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will be available for both the PS3 and Vita in Japan on December 26.

The first five minutes of “BioShock Infinite: Burial at Sea – Episode One” has come online. The DLC release will return you to Rapture in a story that finds Booker and Elizabeth on the eve of the underwater city’s fall from grace. Get a taste of Rapture in its full glory, almost entirely built from scratch in the “BioShock Infinite” engine.
“Burial at Sea” will be available for $15.00 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and is also included as part of the “BioShock Infinite Season Pass.” Game creator, Ken Levine, has stated the DLC will be released before the holiday season this year.

According to the announcement made by Take-Two Interactive Software today, “Grand Theft Auto V” has officially surpassed retail sales of more than $1 billion during its first three days on sale.
“‘Grand Theft Auto’ is a cultural phenomenon and Rockstar Games continues to redefine what can be achieved in interactive entertainment,” said Strauss Zelnick, Chairman and CEO of Take-Two. “We are incredibly proud of the extraordinary critical and commercial response to ‘Grand Theft Auto V.'”
Also noticing a bump in sales is likely the Playstation 3 has players buy the new bundle for the title that was released on September 17th after months of hype.
“Grand Theft Auto V” was developed by series creator Rockstar North and is currently available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The title is rated “M” for Mature by the ESRB.
Final Fantasy PS3 players can rejoice and breathe easier. Square Enix has officially confirmed that PS3 owners of the MMO “Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn” will be able to transfer to the PlayStation 4 version for free.
