Minecraft PS3 Edition Gets Retail Release Date

Minecraft

“Minecraft” is finally coming to the PlayStation 3 starting May 16! Mojang announced that boxed copies of the popular game will go on sale for the PS3 after what feels like years of waiting by fans.

Owen Hill, of Mojang, revealed the retail disc information for Minecraft PlayStation 3 Edition on the PlayStation Blog

“It comes with all the features you’d expect from the console versions of Minecraft, along with everything that came with update 14, including emeralds, Ender Chests, potatoes, and more,” Hill said.

“Minecraft” went on sale on the PlayStation Store late last year and according to Hill, more than 1.5 million copies have been sold. At Gamescom last year, Sony claimed that the game would be a launch title for the PS4, and the Vita version was later confirmed by creator Markus “Notch” Persson.
