When “Silent Hills” was officially cancelled and it was announced that the playable teaser, “P.T.” would be pulled from the PlayStation store, rumors started swirling that Konami would be removing already downloaded copies from players consoles as well. However, don’t fret! This isn’t the case.
A Konami spokesperson has officially told VG247 that these reports are incorrect, and that there is no system in place that would allow either Konami or Sony to remove content from people’s consoles in this way.
So rest assured people who were lucky enough to download this amazing teaser. It will remain in place as long as you have it.
In sad gaming news, the highly anticipated horror game, “Silent Hills” has been officially cancelled. The playable teaser “P.T.” will also be pulled from the PlayStation store.
Rumors that the game was on the way out began over the last few weeks and got heavier after Konami announced they were pulling “P.T.” from the store. The game was coming from powerhouse team Hideo Kojima, Guillermo del Toro and Norman Reedus with Reedus lending his likeness to the game as the main character. His character was scene at the end of “P.T.” if players beat the teaser.
Del Toro confirmed that things were awry with the game during a San Francisco Film Festival appearance on Saturday, but now Konami made the news official today. The publisher has told a variety of gaming sites, including Polygon, that Silent Hills won’t be finished. Polygon quotes the company as saying that the Silent Hill franchise isn’t dead, but that “the embryonic Silent Hills project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring the likeness of Norman Reedus will not be continued.”
“P.T.” will unfortunately leave the PSN on Wednesday.
“Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” has officially launched on Windows PC. The game was developed by Kojima Productions and PlatinumGames. It takes the player into the renowned METAL GEAR franchise with exciting new territory with an all-new action experience. The game seamlessly melds pure action and epic story-telling that surrounds Raiden, a child soldier transformed into a half-human, half-cyborg ninja who uses his High Frequency katana blade to cut through anything that stands in his vengeful path.
“Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance” initially released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. now it finally releases on PC with all the famed moves and action running, within a beautifully realised HD environment. The new PC version includes all three DLC missions: Blade Wolf, Jetstream, and VR Missions, in addition to all customized body upgrades for Raiden, including: White Armor, Inferno Armor, Commando Armor, Raiden’s MGS4 body, and the ever-popular Cyborg Ninja.
The PC version is available starting today for MSRP $29.99.

As a free day one patch, players connecting their game online will immediately unlock the Friendly Match Lobby and Ranking Match, allowing for sophisticated match making and leaderboard rankings. Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc announced today that they will be releasing the next installment in the Metal Gear Solid franchise. The new game, entitled “METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN,” is set to be released on both the PS3 and Xbox 360.
To reinforce the announcement and address all the questions fans have been asking all year, Kojima Productions unveiled a brand new trailer for the new title at this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco.
“Following the success of METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS, we have extremely high expectations for METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN,” said Tomoyuki Tsuboi, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. “We hope to expand and revolutionize the METAL GEAR SOLID franchise utilizing the FOX Engine, while providing fans the high-quality and immersive experience they have come to expect from Kojima Productions.”
According to the official press release, the new trailer shows, ” the fall of Mother Base and provides visual hints that unveil the connection between METAL GEAR SOLID: GROUND ZEROES and METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN.”

On February 28th the Nintendo eShop will be offering fans a playable demo of the upcoming game “Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate,” announced Konami. The free demo will showcase intense whip combat, deep platforming, exploration and spectacular visuals of the highly anticipated title. Players control Trevor Belmont as he takes down the various creatures and minions of Dracula’s fortress.
